Commonwealth Games Medalist Visits Diving North Coast School

As part of the promotion to create awareness of diving in the Diving North Coast region Commonwealth Games Bronze Medalist Declan Stacey spent time today visiting the Wauchope Public School and then enjoyed some time on the Port Macquarie beach with members of Diving North Coast! Excellent presentation Declan! Well done! Declan will be visiting Abbotsleigh School for Girls this Friday!

Hall of Champions Induction to Matthew Mitcham

Congratulations to Matthew Mitcham on being inducted into the NSW Hall of Champions at the NSW Champions of Sports Awards held on Monday eveningÂ 27 November at Rosehill Gardens. Matthew Mitcham made Olympic history when he was awarded the highest single-dive score at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. His final dive in the 10m platform earned four perfect 10 scores, achieving a total of 112.10. became the first Australian to win an Olympic diving gold medal since 1924.

Congratulations Hana Chorley

Excited to report that Hana became the overall winner of the Young Sporting Spirit Award for the Northern District at the Local Sports Star Awards held at the Epping Club recently! The award is for those that 'demonstrate the greatest achievement, dedication, fairness and sportsmanship' in their chosen sport. She was initially nominated for her diving and public speaking achievements but also for speaking out about her own personal battle with mental illness earlier in the year.

Rhiannan Retains Red Bull Title

Congratulations to Rhiannan Iffland who secured the Red Bull High Diving World Series for the second year in a row. Rhiannan showed the heart and courage of a true champion as she battled through a serious injury to retain her title in the final event of the 2017 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series in Lago Ranco, Chile. Rhiannan has recently been named as a finalised in the Sort NSW Athlete of the Year.
