Expression of Interest – Adolescent Female Focus Group

Help Shape the Future of Diving in NSW

Are you a female diver aged 12–18 years? We want to hear from you!

As part of the She Dives project, Diving NSW is establishing an Adolescent Female Focus Group to help us better understand what encourages girls to stay involved in diving and what barriers may lead them to leave the sport.

We're looking for around 5 – 6 enthusiastic young members who are willing to share their experiences, ideas and suggestions to help shape the future of diving for adolescent females across NSW.

What is involved?

The Focus Group will:

• Meet approximately once every two months (online or in person where possible).
• Provide feedback on the experiences of adolescent female divers.
• Help identify barriers to participation and retention.
• Contribute ideas and solutions to improve the diving experience for girls.
• Inform strategies and initiatives under the She Dives project.

This is an opportunity to have your voice heard and make a real difference for current and future female divers.

Who can apply?

We are seeking female Diving NSW members who:

• Are aged 12–18 years.
• Are passionate about diving and want to help improve the sport.
• Are willing to respectfully share their experiences and ideas.

No previous committee or leadership experience is required—just a willingness to participate and contribute.
