Diving NSW is conducting a Country Development camp at Lightning Ridge 5 - 11 October.

Due to the limited number of places available the camp is only open to country divers.

We are offering a training camp at Lightning Ridge. Camping in the hall and diving in their wonderful indoor pool facilities.

We travel up Sunday 5 October and arrive about 5.30pm to have a BBQ with Lightning Ridge divers and their families.

Everyone sleeps on the floor with their own sleeping bag, pillow etc. on Gym mats. Initially registrations will only be open to a maximum of 30 country athletes.

We have a warm up fitness session in the morning and then train twice a day.

We feed then Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper cooked by parent volunteers.

We will usually go to the hot springs each night to get out the aches and pains but if anyone wishes to stay behind, we will supervise them.

There are games and activities organised in the break and evening.

You can also take your kids on tours when not training. Family member can use the pool facilities but must pay pool entry separately.

The total cost is $650 which includes Food, transport, accommodation, pool entry. Transport is by bus from Canberra via Orange or Sydney/Newcastle (if enough people- last time carpooling was organised for Newcastle and the North coast divers. While Wagga Wagga and Albury divers come on the Canberra Bus. Some families may choose to travel by themselves.

You will be required to register and make payments through Diving NSW for the camp.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS:  You must provide us with any food intolerances/allergies when completing the registration and fill in the attached Medical form that goes to the driver transporting them and/or Ann Widdup on arrival.
