DIVING NSW ASSISTANCE TO REGIONAL ATHLETES PROGRAM
The regional assistance program is designed to assist young talented athletes from regional areas of NSW and the ACT access training, coaching and competitions similar to those enjoyed by athletes from Metropolitan NSW. Assistance provided will be for 2010 – 2011
Who is eligible to apply?
Athletes must meet the following criteria:
• Be 17 years or younger as at 31 December
• Be competing at State Age level or above
• Be permanent residents of NSW or ACT
• Reside more than 100 Km from the Sydney GPO
• Be registered with Diving NSW
Activities eligible for funding:
Travel and accommodation associated with training, competitions and accessing coaching where travel is required for more than 100 Km each way.
How much funding is available?
The maximum amount of funding available is $500 to a maximum of 8 athletes.
Application process:
All applications will be assessed and allocated by the Board of Diving NSW. All applicants will be assessed based on state ranking, number of state competitions attended and distance travelled. All applicants will be advised regarding the success of the application. If successful the grant is paid directly to you by cheque. Applicants should understand that lodging an application does not guarantee them funding. There is no guarantee that funding will be provided prior to travel. Applicants should use their own resources to travel to events in the interim.
